Whether you have an alarm system at home or not, there are some common mistakes you should avoid because they might make your home an easy target for burglars. Browse the list of these errors and make sure you do not make:

Hide a key: In a flower pot under a doormat, behind a rock, etc.. It’s a bad idea because thieves know all these tricks and they will think to look there first.

Your building unlocked: A thief could easily take all the tools they need, including a scale, if you leave your building opened. Close it!

Alarms extinct: It is common for owners tire of them set off alarms when they go out, leaving the door open to bad luck. Do not like them. Turn it as soon as you exit.

A garden not maintained: If you let your trees spread their branches up your windows, you give the thieves a natural scale to enter your home.

The keys in the car is bad enough to hide near your house, so the more you put in your car, the thief could get into your car and your home.
